FAQ

What is NextShoe?

A rotation engine for runners.

It assigns shoes to runs based on training context, wear balance, and feedback.

Who is it for?

Runners with more than one pair.

How do recommendations work?

The system considers:

  • Run type
  • Surface
  • Mileage
  • Rotation mode
  • Your feedback (if Learning is on)

It ranks eligible shoes and returns the best fit.

What are rotation modes?

SUSTAIN
Balance wear across your collection.

INDULGE
Prioritize preference and feel.

ELIMINATE
Accelerate retirement for selected pairs.

What is Feels Strategy?

A short-term override based on how you feel today.

It adjusts recommendation behavior without changing the plan.

What is Learning?

When enabled, past ratings and overrides influence future recommendations.

Turn it off for static rotation logic.

What is Evaluation Mode?

Allows you to accept or override recommendations and log reasons.

Used for refining the system.

Optional.

What does RESERVE mean?

Only recommend for race or key sessions.

What does ENDGAME mean?

Prioritize to close out the shoe.

What happens when I log a run?

  • Mileage is added.
  • Rating and feel tags are stored.
  • Learning updates (if enabled).

Why didn't I get a recommendation?

No eligible shoes.

Adjust constraints or add to your collection.

Does this replace my training app?

No.

It manages gear, not workouts.
